Are there really no cancellation penalties?

Correct — every Grandco merchant account is month-to-month with zero cancellation fees, exit penalties, or early termination charges. You can cancel at any time by contacting our support team. This is a core part of what makes Grandco different from traditional processors like Moneris and First Data, who typically lock merchants into 3-year contracts with $300–$500+ exit fees.
Is surcharging legal in Canada?

Yes. Following a 2022 class action settlement, Canadian merchants are legally permitted to add a surcharge of up to 2.4% on credit card transactions. Debit card transactions cannot be surcharged. The surcharge must be disclosed to customers before the transaction. Grandco handles the disclosure and surcharge mechanics automatically. Importantly, the surcharge covers both your platform cost and your processing fees — at sufficient volume, you accept credit cards at zero net cost to your business.
What processing rates can I expect?

Grandco uses transparent interchange-plus pricing through our Canadian payment gateway — you see exactly what the card networks charge and what our markup is, separately. There are no bundled rates designed to hide the real cost. Your exact rate depends on your business type, card mix, and monthly volume. We'll quote your specific rate on the demo call.
How long does setup take?

Most merchants are fully live within 5–7 business days. The merchant account is typically approved within 24–48 hours. POS hardware ships within 2–3 business days or can be configured remotely for software-only setups. The Grandco marketing platform is configured by our team and handed over by day 7, ready to use.
Do I need payment experience to become a reseller?

No. Most of our resellers are marketing agency owners, consultants, or IT service providers who have no prior experience in the payment industry. Grandco handles all the payment compliance, underwriting, and technical processing. You handle the client relationship and sales. We provide your sales deck, onboarding kit, and ongoing support.
Will my clients know I'm using Grandco?

Never. The white-label program is 100% your brand. Your clients log into a platform with your name, your logo, and your domain. Grandco is invisible. The only exception is the underlying payment processing through our payment gateway, which may appear on card statements — but the SaaS platform and all client-facing communications are entirely yours.
What happens to my merchants if I leave the reseller program?

If you leave the program in good standing, you continue receiving processing residuals on your existing merchant portfolio for 24 months after termination — giving you time to transition or wind down your book of business. Grandco retains the right to continue serving those merchants directly. This is outlined in your reseller agreement.
Is my data stored in Canada?

Yes. Grandco maintains Canadian data residency for merchant and customer data. This is important for Canadian businesses concerned about cross-border data transfer under PIPEDA. Unlike US-based tools like Square, Stripe, or the standard Grandco SaaS offering, your data stays in Canada.
